Login failed, valid credentials

Steps to reproduce

1. Manual login (don't have a qr)
2. Select matrix.org
3. Insert user and password
4. Wrong username or password error

This doesn't happen on Element (non x) or via matrix.org login on the website so credentials are good.

My password contains a "*" can this be a problem?
