Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in via OIDC
  2. Don't use the app for a while
  3. Open it. Spot that it takes ages to sync.
  4. Afterwards, you unexpectedly receive push notifs, despite notifications being turned off in the app for that device.
  5. Toggle notifs on/off and they disappear again.

Outcome

What did you expect?

If notifs are turned off, you should not receive push notifs

I am getting this repeatedly whenever I open my appstore EXI after a break (which is logged into element.io HS, so using OIDC). push suddenly turns on for everything on the account, until I go to settings and toggle it on and then back off, to stop it.
