The shortcut overlay states Alt + F4 as the default keyboard to close windows. But most apps also get closed with Ctrl + Q.
This is not a big issue for third party apps as it is up to to the respective developers of those apps.
But even first party apps like Code and AppCenter close with Ctrl + Q.
In my experience, closing code with Alt + F4 and Ctrl + Q is the same thing. The window position and height is saved.
But in case of AppCenter, closing the app with Alt + F4 saves the window settings but closing it with Ctrl + Q closes the app entirely. Even the AppCenter daemon I think.
I think there should be a simpler implementation of the keyboard shortcut to close an app as it has confused quite a lot.
It takes me at least some brain power to decide whether to use Ctrl + Q or Alt + F4.
Personally, I think Ctrl + Q should be the default to close the window instead of Alt + F4. A lot of third party apps include the option to close with Ctrl + Q and they even list it on the AppCenter page. So, this keyboard shortcut clearly has some demand.
I don't like to use Alt + F4 because it makes me stretch my hand and it is not as comfortable as Ctrl + Q.
