I noted in the README that you can pass the --characters=<path> but this doesn't eem to work for me:

sirkitree@lullaM2 eliza % npm start --characters=characters/vic_fontain.json

> eliza@1.0.0 start
> node --loader ts-node/esm src/index.ts

characterPath undefined
characterPaths undefined
No characters found, using default character
Starting agent for character Eliza

ok looks like I can run node --loader ts-node/esm src/index.ts --characters="path/to/your/character.json"

I think it would benefit the readme to specify this command or talk about how you can add your own command in the script section of package.json
