Color and other Interface settings not persisted

Chrome, MacOS. Elk v0.15.1.

Even after removing all persisted settings (cookies/storage all wiped in the console or using incognito), saving my interface settings doesn't work. They appear correct right away on save...and then on reload I'm right back to the orange.

(Also, even during setting them, on first click of a color it doesn't apply right away: it is always one color behind as i click across them).

Chrome on my android tablet doesn't seem to have this issue (in tab or as a PWA).
