If i just enter VWii mode normally, then start the WiiVC through homebrew channel, will that let me use gamepad? #92

what ? no...

the only way to make wiiu gamepad work is to start wii 64 through wiiu menu with a wiivc inject
just install both of this forwarders in wiiu menu

this will start the dols on the sd card on the locations

sd:apps/wii64/boot.dol
and
sd:apps/wii64 rice/boot.dol

just make sure those paths are in the sd card, if you start wii64 through both of this channels you can use the wiiu gamepad.
