Other functioncodes than the officials

Hi, I like the mbpoll app in Linux at a Raspi 3B+.

But I got an advice that there is a functioncode 0x20 (hex) (=32 in dec) for my solar inverter (in RTU mode).
I tried this functioncode - this code would be reject because not allowed.
Is there a possibility to open the mbpoll service to such inofficial functioncodes?
