Just because there's a chance I miss the meeting tomorrow here's an update regarding the EIP bot. In short: things are going well, I have a direction and have made progress in translating the Python bot to Javascript (for use in Github Actions).

I have investigated and decided on using a custom Github action for this. Specifically, that means I'll be creating a custom actions plugin for the purpose of parseing EIPs. I have just finished converting the Python to Javascript, and next need to actually make it work (translated without testing / fixing errors).

Here's the fork of the EIPs repo that I've been using https://github.com/alita-moore/EIPs

notably, see .github/actions for the custom action plugin.

I intend on separating the above action and making it available on the actions marketplace once it has been developed fully. Though, this specifically is a minor detail.

Blockers:

  • proper test PRs for development & testing
