We preserve the privacy and confidentiality of the people involved in situations that breach this Code of Conduct,.

Does this make it clear to someone what will happen to their information should they report a transgression of this policy to the team adopting the policy?

And, before this question, what is the process for reporting?

Proposing a clause for reporting: "We create a clear process for reporting transgressions of this policy, and have a point person taking responsibility for acting on each report."

What if there was a person in each organization that would volunteer to be the point of contact. There could also be backup points of contact as well. This way, if there is a problem people can talk to that person about it and get help. Did I just describe HR? Anyways... it seems like an easy solution that keeps conflicts and resolutions local without having to involve the community every time. Also, if something needs to be escalated it could then be brought to a global Etheruem moderation team (tbd) for further help?

I tried to clarify this when I edited the live HackMD version a while ago to be:

"We preserve the privacy and confidentiality of the people affected by situations that breach this Code of Conduct."
