ethers v6 WebSocketProvider with proxy

I saw a very helpful post & code snippet in #4336 to demonstrate how to use JsonRpcProvider with a proxy config. It works great!

However, I don't see the same functionality supported for WebSocketProvider - https://github.com/ethers-io/ethers.js/blob/main/src.ts/providers/provider-websocket.ts#L49

Is there a different way to configure websocket connection to work with proxy?
