Who are you and why should I ask questions here?

Hi,

I am a Web developer currently in Cape Town, South Africa. I specialise in PHP and Laravel in my day to day work but dabble and experiment in other things as well. I am very passionate about the web and all things tech but more specifically software related.

I really love to optimise software teams and building scaffolding tools to make teams and businesses go faster and ship better. Software is eating the world and it is my goal to always be in beta but also be as close to polyglot as I can because I am a firm believer that you should use the right tool for the problem you are trying to solve.

I really want to you this space to answer questions people has about web development, project management, agile and team flow, software and testing. I will also attempt to answer meta questions.

Who am I

I am a full stack developer currently living in Cape Town, South Africa. I specialise in PHP and my preferred ecosystem of coding is backend in Laravel, Frontend in VueJS, SCSS and ops in Docker and Kubernetes.

I code because I can action the changes and ideas I want to see in the world to impact people's lives in a positive way. I value people over work and believe strongly that there is value in doing something thoroughly. I help teams solve problems in simple ways and mentor people to challenge the status quo but also themselves.

I currently enjoy working on a side project called Resumelove. It's a project aimed at removing the anxiety around updating your professional documentation and giving you a starting point.
