As director of the Dealers' Den, I need to be able to see some reference works provided by a dealer during in order to review their application. Since this is information is provided via the Website/Portfolio field on the application form, this is a de-facto mandatory field for an application to even be considered during review. But since a dealer may want to submit a first draft of their application before having fixed up the portfolio they wish to provide, this field should also not be a required field.
To get the best out of both worlds, dealers should receive a prompt ("I understand that the Dealers' Den Team can only successfully review the application if a portfolio is included. I am able to submit a link to my portfolio at any point before the end of the Application Phase.") when creating a new application without filling the portfolio form. The dialogue should offer options to agree with this or cancel and fill out the field beforehand.
✅ Acceptance Criteria
When creating a new application without filling out the Website/Portfolio field in the form, a prompt is shown asking the dealer to confirm that they are aware of the importance of this field.
This prompt should not be shown when updating an existing application.
This prompt should also be shown when creating a new application after previously having cancelled.
The tooltip underneath the Website/Portfolio field emphasises the importance of filling it out.
