We want to allow easy installation via Docker. This would also mean Docker becomes the sole officially-supported way to install Zing.

Since the doc is not available anymore, how do you perform a clean installation of Zing currently ?

Hi @AKFourSeven, sorry for the late reply — I've been AFK for some days.

First of all, note we haven't done any work yet on the support for deployments via Docker, as our focus has shifted a bit in the last while.

Apart from that, I am unsure which specific doc you are referring to but I assume it's the installation one under the docs/server directory. Note we recently updated the installation instructions, although I am aware that might only work partially as we don't publish any packages with pre-built assets.

Nevertheless, by manually building static assets it'll work fine. I am happy to guide you through and answer other questions that might arise. Feel free to ping me on the gitter channel anytime.

I did a serge+zing container. Available here: https://github.com/smurfy/docker-zing-serge
