I know I can start aTox with a external profile, but if I already started it without external = aTox made me a profile, but I have my main profile on desktop qTox; how do I then replace the profile?!

I have seen many bug reports about profiles, but this should be priority number one no?

Edit: Connected to this problem is that you need to be online to receive friend requests, and the clients that are not online never see those requests. Because humans have multiple devices that should have been a consideration from the start of toxcore.

But how could the Tox protocol be designed this poorly, the ONLY way to use Tox right now is to crate a new profile on each device and have your friends link up with each device separately, so if you like me have at least 5 devices that becomes COMPLETELY untenable because all contacts will have 5 linked profiles (which should then be called device) per real person potentially for all their contacts! Power law makes this unmanageable in the long term.

Or if this is a feature (you can choose where to call/message your friends), then it needs to be clearly communicated.

This is THE one reason that Tox is not succeeding and all other bugs or developments should be stopped to focus on this problem?
