Hi all,
We are currently preparing the next FABM release, version 2.0, which is already available from branch
2.0rc1
.This update expands the functionality of the Python frontend to FABM ("pyfabm"), which can now operate across spatial domains (previously it was 0D-only) and supports additional APIs (
get_vertical_movement
,check_state
,get_conserved_quantities
). The update also includes rewritten, better performing code for parsingfabm.yaml
.This update is mostly backward compatible: biogeochemical models do not need any changes to work with FABM 2.0, and host models only need changes if they access biogeochemical parameters (extremely rare). Further information is available here.
The 2.0 update will be merged into the master branch in early September. Until then, anyone can try the new release by checking out branch
2.0rc1
