New biogeochemical models (PISCES, BFM) and 1D data assimilation

Hi all,

The just-completed EU-funded project SEAMLESS has produced several outputs that may be of interest to you:

• FABM implementations of the PISCES and BFM biogeochemical models. These new implementations are public. Further details are available in the associated project deliverable.
• The new Ensemble and Assimilation Tool (EAT) combines FABM with GOTM and PDAF to enable data assimilation in 1D water column models. It also support estimation of biogeochemical parameters. A high-level description including examples can be found in the preprint. Information about installation and use can be found on the EAT wiki.

SEAMLESS has also part-funded the development of the recent 2.0 release of FABM.
