(I feel more comfortable with Tanya than with Tatiana, but it's the same name)
She/Her
How I get my best work done:
I do my best work when I approach things step by step and have a clear understanding of the overall project. I find it easier to focus and be productive when I’m working in a quiet environment.
The role I usually take in a team:
I’m not much of a public speaker, especially in English, as I can be a bit shy. But I contribute well by coming up with ideas and executing them efficiently. I prefer supporting the team from behind the scenes rather than being in the spotlight.
My communication style:
I feel most comfortable in one-on-one conversations, as it helps me stay focused on the topic. I tend to get a bit lost when too many people are talking at once. I’m always open to asking questions when I need clarification, and I find it helpful to talk things through or visualize concepts by drawing them out.
What I value:
I value kindness, respectful communication, honesty, and directness. I appreciate when people are open to having discussions and are willing to consider different opinions. Reliability is also something I really appreciate in others.
What people misunderstand about me:
Sometimes people think I’m too serious or even unfriendly, and I get that a lot. I think it’s because of my facial expressions(Eastern European). Occasionally, I also lose track of conversations in English since it’s not my first language, and it might seem like I’m not engaged. But that’s not the case—I’m always trying my best.
How I like to get my feedback:
I prefer written feedback, but I don’t mind hearing it in person either. Honesty and directness work best for me—no need to sugarcoat it.
Technical strengths & weaknesses:
I’m drawn to the visual aspects of projects, though I wouldn’t say I’m an expert in CSS or similar frameworks. That said, I pick things up quickly when I dive into them.
I really enjoy working with JavaScript, especially when it comes to solving problems.
Big projects that aren’t broken down into smaller tasks can overwhelm me, so having structure is key to keeping me on track.
Interests (programming or otherwise!):
I used to think front-end development was my main interest, but now I’m not so sure.
I love working with my hands—whether it’s sewing, crafting, or ceramics.
I’m also into sports like volleyball, climbing, running, hiking, and yoga.
