Since I upgraded from 2.1.2 to 2.1.4 (or 2.1.5), reloading (initially) is significantly slower.
When I observe the network tab, I see weird long latency loadings of stylesheets (addStyles.js). The more stylesheets the project has, the longer it takes. (even with fresh created ones):

Also, why are there still so many vulnerabilities even, if I am using the newest version?
--> from found 63 low severity vulnerabilities

System: OS X 10.14.1
NPM: 6.8.0
NODE: v11.10.0
Browser: Safari or Chrome

It may be caused by #6399 which will have a fix in the next release.

This should be fixed now. Please try the latest version of react-scripts.
