Using a S22 ultra (non-root), the app gets killed no matter what I do. It's already set as an unrestricted app, set to never sleep and battery optimization is off. Yet I can still see it not being active when looking at active background apps. It's very inconsistent, so I don't know the specific conditions for it to happen. I didn't have this problem with ForceDoze though.
