I tried check if of an unown U, and it thinks it's an F, and it says no combinations found.

This is at least closely related to "Can't calculate Spinda's IV" #1069, since for all Unown, the base stats are all -1 as well.

Not sure what that all is, but poke genie calculates it correctly.
