I'm sure that the nix package detection code works for NixOS. Not sure about nix on other distros

Just tested nix installation on voidlinux. /nix/var/nix/profiles/default didn't exist but /nix/var/nix/profiles/per-user/$USER did.

I'm too stupid to make nix environment work but I will leave it to nix experts. @xoltia Do you have any idea?
