Hello Fabian,

I am not sure, but it seems to me that this Home Assistant addon is no longer maintained. Maybe you simply have more urgent stuff to do, which is of course completely ok. If you could users let know what your plans are (and sorry I'm case I have overlooked such a message from you), it would help, too. 😊

If users want to try an integration (instead of this addon) for Home Assistant, they might be interested in @patman15 's repo, which is actively maintained and works really great:
https://github.com/patman15/BMS_BLE-HA

I wish to thank both and other contributors for their time and excellent support. 👍 Sometimes, real life gets in-between. 😊

Hi,
could you explain if patman15 can be used as a replaced or would I have to migrate or rename all the sensors ?

I am missing the remaining capacity from the JK BMS and its software. That is not available in fl4p's solution here.

thanks for sharing - I will ask the same question over there to get a smooth transition.

Be carefull what you are recommanding if you do not know what might be missing.
You fooled me to believe that this one is a kind of successor.

It is not. At least for sure not for JK BMS owners cause basic things are missing everone would need like what ?
Active balancer current is unavailable, so with this solution you will not know if your JK BMS active balancer is working or not

Basic pieces are missing at least for JK BMS owners.
Sad but true, so do not migrate "yet" as a JK BMS owner cause you might be disappointed and feel like someone has fooled you. Active balancer current is now a request over there but it might need a lot more investigation what else is missing or not and I do not wanna jump over to a new solution and have to realize, that sensors I am depending on will be missing.

Therefore I have stopped my migration plans fully till I find a JK BMS owner who can tell me what is still missing in the new solution and if / when that might become available or might be lost forever.

The new solution you are recommanding has more or less nothing to do with the previous. It is completely new and build from scratch, but the owner / maintainer is willing to go ahead and improve.
But that does not mean that all the things / sensor we are used to have here are available on the new plattform and especially for all those jk bms owner which have an active balancer onboard (which is an outstanding feature).

I focus on other things at the moment.
@7wells is there anything not working as expected for you?
@typxxi I know the JK issue, I guess batmon doesn't detect the frame version correctly. which model and Firmware do you have?

JK inverter BMS V15 and firmware is the latest V15.30 updated 2 weeks ago or so.
JK is releasing 15.33 or 15.34 soon - this week.

@typxxi can you downgrade FW to 11.x or before?

@fl4p
Sorry that I cannot tell you, since I switched to the integration, which works fine for me. I hope that my post was not misunderstood as an offense to anyone. 😊

no,
my JK BMS V15 had arrived with 15.1x - or did you make a typo and meant 15.x ?

I am simply missing the remaining capacity the JK BMS is showing all the time. It is the main indicator for me about real capacity.
Would be really nice to see that too in the white rectangle
image

I need that due to my inverters limit which is only allowing to discharge to 10% SOC.
But first you need to know my cells and capacity:
I have 16x EVE LF 280 K cells each 280 Ah but with a useable capacity as a whole battery of 266 Ah

To be able to use these last 10% I have to pretend to the growatt inverter a fake SOC which is 11% higher.
You can achieve that by increasing the capacity of the cells from 266 / 0,9 = 296 Ah
If you know use 90% of the 296 Ah you would reach SOC of 10% where the growattt inverter will stop discharging.
and that will be at 266 Ah - so I will be able to discharge completely.

But sometimes due to a high load at the end of discharging the cellvoltage can drop to the unvervoltage protection of 2,6 V and then reset the SOC to 0% ...
And then I need the last real remaining capacity in home assistant before it stopped discharging.
I have all the sensors from BAT Mon inside HA but the most important one for me , the remaining capacity in Ah , which everyone wants to know - is missing.

Or I have lost the sensor maybe ?
fool the JK BMS and tell him that it has cause
