It's easy to do yourself, but it would be nice to have that option because not everyone is American 😅

Actually only a fraction of our maintainers and contributors are from US. That said, the "correct" formatting for file name should be "YYYY-MM-DD", also known as ISO8601 😉

I will leave this issue open, but imho the options on the configuration window are just examples. Adding more to the list would make the leave uneven and long, and unnecessary.
