Templates not found with Techdraw workbench

FreeCAD version: 0.21.0 rev 33675
OS: Debian 12.1 Stable

Actions taken:
Create a new file.
Select the Techdraw workbench
Select Insert Page using Template

Expected: A file selector showing the available drawing templates in the FLatpak directory.

Observed: A file selector pointing to the directory where my project was saved.

Work around:
Find the templates by hand with:
find . -name Templates /var/lib/flatpak |grep TechDraw
Then navigate to that location.

Tested this issue on another system after coming home from vacation. insert page from template does point to the templates here.

Also since this hasn't been picked up after 2 weeks. I think this was just a one off incident.

I have the same problem again. No easy pointer to the template directory.
A default of /var/lib/flatpak/app/org.freecadweb.FreeCAD/current/active/files/share/Mod/TechDraw/Templates would help in this case.

this path isn't stable. it won't work for a user install
or even the install is in a different location.

Would it be possible to add the path after installing or even pre-startup?

I can't reproduce this on flathub-beta version, is this still a problem for you? For me it directly opens to /app/share/Mod/TechDraw/Templates, I guess this would be a problem if freecad was using the portal file picker

I tried it with 0.21.2 and Techdraw refers to my local '~/.Documents' directory when I try to open a template.

please try the flathub-beta version

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub-beta https://flathub.org/beta-repo/flathub-beta.flatpakrepo
flatpak install flathub-beta org.freecad.FreeCAD

With the flathub-beta with 1.0RC2 the templates appear.
