would love to get some feedback on this beta version.

I am especially interested in your Feedback for the UI Editor and the New Flow Formula.

Does the UI work when Card Mod is not installed? How is it? ...

Looks great! 👍 I see you've been busy.
Did some limited testing and here are some notes.

I just pulled the beta branch via HACS front-end. Did not have Card Mod installed or install it first, and it seems to work fine.

Some unexpected values noted in the UI Editor:

1. I do not use Combined Grid Entity, but after only expanding this area it auto populates "[object Object]" and the YAML get this added entity: '[object Object]'
2. Default values vs color UI elements are confusing. I cannot tell the difference between a default value and chosen color black. Maybe there should be 'Use Default' text that displays initially and can again be chosen later to indicate that there is no override color selected? (Same as X on entity selector). Or maybe similar to selecting transparency in color picker of some apps.
3. The on/off UI element and the default value are sometimes out of sync, e.g. the "Grid, Secondary Info, Unit white space' is initially off, when the default is instead true. Maybe the boolean UI elements should be set to the explicit config value || the default value to show accurately? The value only needs to be added to the YAML when the value does NOT match the default.

Unfortunately there's not much I can do about the behavior of the UI Elements in the UI Editor, since I just entered their schema into a ha-form element. That element does not expose any configuration options for the default behavior of child elements.

Regarding New Flow Formula, I will test some more during the day when I am able to see varied data.

UI Editor:
The min_expected_power and min_flow_rate defaults are documented as two decimal precision, but the card shows a validation error when this is entered. It only allows one decimal. Perhaps align the precision?

The documentation says the following for Power Outage configuration for icon_alert:
An icon path to be override the grid icon when there is a power outage. Default is mdi:transmission-tower.
That should instead be mdi:transmission-tower-off as per the code.

I’m trying out the v01beta and get this error when updating existing card…

Visual editor is not supported for this configuration: s.entries is not a function. (In 's.entries()', 's.entries' is undefined) You can still edit your config in YAML.

My YAML code at the moment looks like this...

That is the error that comes up when card mod is installed. Unfortunately they are currently conflicting. I already submitted a PR over at card mod fixing this conflict. I'm waiting for it to get me before I release 0.1 as an official version. In the meantime you can either remove card mod out, if you need it, use the code editor for this card

Did you clear your browser cache? Do you have any other frontend plugin that is using card mod?

The values for the amount of regenerative electricity is only displayed when I actually consume electricity from the grid.
Actually, I think it would be useful to display this value at all times.
(Happens, when "display_zero_lines: false" is enabled.)

Yeah... my only guess is that your HA is still holding on to the old card.
Did you

• put the file in the www folder
• set it as a dashboard resource
• remove the resource from the HACS file
• clear the cache AFTER all this
