The idea is to add Meilix to Debian Derivative which you decided during the summer coding period.
Below is the mail which I got from Debain community.

Hi,

I note that you are producing a software distribution based on Debian.

http://meilix.fossasia.org
https://www.debian.org/

I would like to invite you to add your distribution to the Debian
derivatives census, which attempts to gather detailed information
about Debian derivatives that is useful to Debian, for integration of
that information into Debian infrastructure and for the development of
relationships between Debian and our derivatives. In addition we will
be doing some QA on the data that you enter into the census.

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Census
https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Integration
https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/CensusQA

Please direct any questions you have to the derivatives list or IRC
channel. We strongly encourage you to join both of these.

@Manas-kashyap Hi! I looked at the link in the comment, but it doesn't seem to be updated, correct me if I am wrong. Are you working on this task? If not I am interested to take it up. Let me know. Thanks.

Would be cool to have this issue closed! These tasks are not exclusively assigned. It is just a matter of politeness to avoid collisions. 14 days later for a task like this means abandoned. Go for it.

@tabesin Okay cool, so I will take up this issue and get it done ASAP. Also I might need help in filling out some information. So I might ask you about that. Other than that I will create an account on wiki.debian.org and get started.

@tabesin I have edited the wiki as much as possible. There are quite many fields left because I don't think they apply to us as of now. But do have a look and let me know if I can add more information or if some information is not up to mark.

@NJnisarg
It's nice more over nice.
We can even fill up:
build tools and build status

NJnisarg commented Dec 4, 2018

@meets2tarun Okay cool. So I can add the travis image of build status for the build status, but for build tools what should I write exactly, is it the tools like debootstrap, genisoimage etc that we use in script? Or the script itself is like a "custom" build tool?

We are now running the script on Travis to get a deployment as Github Release. So Travis as well as Github Release both can be fit in.

@tabesin Thoughts?

I have received a mail from the debian wiki team regarding some edits and questions they had about meilix and info updated on wiki. I wanted to forward the mail to the maintainers of this project. Can someone post a mail address or something where I should forward this mail. Its quite long and I don't want to paste it here.

@Manas-kashyap

Mail it to the developers of meilix or , it would be great if you paste it here like @meets2tarun tarun did .

Hi Nisarg,
I would like to welcome yourself and Meilix to the Debian derivatives
census! Would you like to take this opportunity to introduce yourself
and Meilix to us all?

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Census/Meilix

It would be great if you could join our mailing list and IRC channel:

https://wiki.debian.org/DerivativesFrontDesk

I would encourage you to look at Debian's guidelines for derivatives:

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Guidelines

You may want to look at our census QA page, some of the mails from
there may apply to Meilix.

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/CensusQA

You don't appear to be subscribed to the Meilix census page, I've made
a few changes:

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Census/Meilix?action=info

I note that Meilix is based on Ubuntu, but on the census page you have
indicated that Meilix is based on Debian unstable. Are you planning on
a transition to being based on Debian? If yes, please give some
details.

The page also says that Meilix modifies some of Debian binary packages.
It is quite rare that distributions modify Debian binary packages
instead of modifying source packages and rebuilding them. Does Meilix
actually do this? If so could you describe what kind of modifications
you are making? If not I guess the page needs to be fixed.

Would it be possible for you to add the Meilix sources.list to the wiki
page? This will eventually help feed back patches and new packages to
Debian developers.

The page is missing a dpkg vendor field. It is important that Debian
derivatives set this properly on installed systems and mention the
value of the field in the derivatives census.

https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Guidelines#Vendor

We are adding the Meilix blog to Planet Debian derivatives which helps
the Debian community find out the things that are happening in the
world of Debian derivatives.

https://planet.debian.org/deriv/

Next year the annual Debian conference is in Brazil. It would be great
if developers from Meilix could attend DebConf.

https://debconf19.debconf.org/

I would encourage any attendees to volunteer to ensure the continued
the success of the annual Debian conference, here are some examples of
things that need helpers.

https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf13/VolunteerCoordination

A great way to help ensure that the next Debian release is working well
is to install and run the how-can-i-help tool and try to work on any
issues that come up.

https://wiki.debian.org/how-can-i-help
https://www.lucas-nussbaum.net/blog/?p=837
https://packages.debian.org/unstable/how-can-i-help

Please feel free to circulate this mail within the Meilix team.

Okay So this is the mail I received. Pasted the full content above. Please read it @tabesin and @meets2tarun and let me know the next steps.
