I was wondering if you found a solution for your problem.
I tried your approach with the latest versions of react-router and it still does not work.

Did you find any solution?

I didn't, I just updated to the latest version as well and couldn't get it working. Now it doesn't match at all. I tried to update all the code to match the test from remix-run/react-router#3054 . This feature isn't really documented though. There is no official example for how to use a basename with server side rendering.
