Here is my design for the player list.
(damage and kills are shorthand for damage taken/inflicted and kills/deaths.)

I'm honoured to be at the top of this list. 😄

I'd like it if there was some context to the team scores up top, like so (the font is Inconsolata, not sure what you use):
New board

Also, I need clarification on two things:

  • What are the darker shaded portions in the scoreboard e.g. 2 3021 for your damage score? Is it damage you took? If so, we might want to consider something like attack/damage and kills/deaths because it's rather vague at first sight; in fact, it took me a few minutes to get it.
  • fr1tz name is highlighted, I suppose that this screenshot is from his point of view (as a member of the blue team)?

You even lead BOTH teams!

  • It's addressed in the brackets above the image. Initally there should not even be any dark numbers too keep it as simple as possible, and I didn't want the header row get messy. But i see how the partial description (even in the wrong color) can be misleading.
Did you really have problems with the missing "WINS" info? I think it would be a sure bet that people get that immediately. Maybe I add a hint.
  • yes.

I didn't have problems with the missing info on the points at the top, though I'd like it to be there. It's mostly because I thought the top part of the scoreboard looked quite bare. Dark text on lighter, coloured backgrounds -- as I drew it -- always looks slick. It's an opportunity to juice up the game afterall. 😉 I also have this idea that server owners could set a variable to change "Wins" or whatever to something of their choice, like "Orangereds" or something. Red Eclipse has custom team names for instance which is very fun and lets server owners and clans to express their fandoms, which I think is a really cool idea.

Onto the second point... yeah, I think the scoreboard is quite difficult to parse right now. At first glance it looks like a really long number. I like the idea of saving space in scoreboards (which can be absurdly big in games like Red Eclipse) but I'm not sure this is the way to do it.
