Stopping Additional Services #709

I also run PiHole on my Raspberry and have no issue. I just noticed the installer doesn't offer PiHole Services to select for start/stop. I exluded the service because I have no issues with PiHole like you. Looks like I should remove the exclusion of PiHole in the installer. You can manually add to start and stop PiHole FTL in the config file but I suggest to delete one line in the installer raspiBackupInstallUI.sh - the line You shouldn't use start/stop extensions for this. |

That's very interesting 👍
That's also interesting 👍 . Which version do you run now? I assume Bookworm and the previous version was Bullseye? I run PiHole on a Bookworm32-lite without any issues at 5am. 2am should be good also. There was a raspiBackup user who had serious issues with PiHole and finally excluded some of the PiHole directories from the backup. He didn't want to stop PiHole so he had to go this path. Hi,
my automated backups fail due to "/etc/pihole/pihole-FTL.db: file changed as we read it".
Could someone please be so kind as to provide simple easy to understand steps to stop the pihole service. My understanding from reading the documentation is that you can use pre and post backup scripts, but I understand things better when examples. are provided.
Thanks
