I strongly recommend to format everything on Linux and not on Windows. There may be some minor implementation differences which may cause issues. IO error usually occurs if the backup device starts to fail or the USB connection is not stable. Try another backup device and another USB cable. |

It may be a duplicate of #794 .
I get this error screen, trying to backup with dd strategy, with compress as well. The type of formating of my usb is exfat, and it was done on windows before hand, if this does metter.
What I tried:

What it is interesting it's that input / output issue that I get it is with Pi-safe as well. So it may be an USB problem, which it's weird because it looks mounted.
