Raspberry Pi 4 (alpha 2)
This is another alpha release off of the experimental raspbian-buster
branch, which updates the kiosk image for the new Raspberry Pi 4/Debian Buster. This 2nd alpha is based on a more recent Raspbian, but is otherwise (mostly) the same as the 1st.
Known issues:
- Startup graphics aren't shown from the start of the boot process
- MOTD on TTY's hasn't been shortened
- Auto-login doesn't work on TTY's 2-3
- Raspberry Pi 4 B 4GB (using ethernet) ✔️
See #61 for ongoing discussion.

Version bump release
This maintenance release bumps Raspbian and Chromium versions to latest stable.
Updates & improvements:
- Core packages updated
- Due to a more international audience, the image now defaults to a US keyboard layout, and UTC timezone (as opposed to the Finnish equivalents; see #34)
- Original
cmdline.txt
andconfig.txt
are now preserved under/boot
with a.backup
suffix, so it's easier to revert back to a more verbose boot process, if you ever need to debug it - Updates to first-boot document:
- Add screen rotation instructions (thanks @cedricwalter!)
- Add touch screen calibration instructions (thanks @Kimmax!)
- Add notes about rotating more exotic screens (thanks @GendoRokubungi!)
Tech specs:
- Linux:
Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)
- Raspbian:
Lite release 2018-11-13

Raspbian rebuild
This release rebuilds the project on top of Raspbian Lite (i.e. Debian), instead of Ubuntu MATE.
Updates & improvements:
- Image size is significantly smaller (half the size of the original)
- Works across the whole hardware lineup (Raspberry Pi 1, 2 & 3)
- Boot graphics are now visible for a larger percentage of the startup process (both boot & browser startup)
- The first-boot document is now bundled with the image (so it works even when the first boot happens without an internet connection)
- System configuration is a lot simpler with the
raspi-config
utility available directly on VTY2 - Rebuild has been scripted to a much larger degree

Repackaging release
This release fixes a packaging error in v1.2.1
where decompressing the image on some platforms would result in a corrupted file, which in turn would not flash correctly.

- Kernel:
4.1.19-v7+
