• Chris to upgrade irods server on TACC to 4.2.8
  • Need at least version 4.2.8 for multi-threaded Python client
• Dan merge multi-threaded Python irods client PR
  • Python iRODS Client implementation of parallel transfer irods/python-irodsclient#236
• Update Galaxy on Test to use multi-threaded Python irods client
• Run performance tests, and compare the times with Main
  • Create a collection of multiple 100MB files. Run Concatenate on the collection
  • Create a single 1GB file. Run concatenate on the file
• If performance testing yields favorable results, switch Main to use irods
• Existing data stays on disk. New data goes to irods.
