Black Screen when starting gazebo

When I open gazebo I sometimes (~3/4 times) get a black screen.

I'm running the latest 2.2.2-7 debs on Ubuntu 14.04. I was having the same issue with 2.2.2-6.

It seems to be an issue in gzserver because if I start up gzserver once and it turns out to be "good" I can restart gzclient as many times as I want and it always comes up correctly. Likewise if gzserver comes up "bad" gzclient always comes up with a black screen.

Can you try gazebo5? There are debs for ubuntu 14.04.
