The second sub level menu is not usable on Ubuntu 18.04

Hi,

I dont have access to the sencond (and other) sub menu. All emoji are displayed in same list and each sub menu add a new sub level. The first sub level work fine with the scroll bar or with the mouse but the second is not work.

Unable to show the emoji list and select it.

This also happens on Debian Buster running Cinnamon. If there's a workaround of some kind, I don't know what it is. The nested elements don't expand or expand to almost 0 space because the screen is vertically full.
