CAN bus and OBD-II

I'd try the connection between Opentracker and the CAN bus of a car via the OBD-II protocol.
Are there some examples of how to ask specific data (for example the speed ...)?

I'm not sure I'm asking the same, my question is if ONLY the ODB-II connector could be used to connect the OpenTracker to the car. This way no annoying car board disassembly is needed.
Moreover you'd have access to a plethora of car data.
You'd need some sort of an adapter but I'm sure it's possible.

OpenTracker does have a CAN interface that you can connect to OBD-II pins 6 (CANH) and 14 (CANL), and don't forget ground pins 4-5.
