Expected behavior
Should not get an error on opening a newly created project

Actual behavior
Getting an error

Gauge daemon initialized and listening on port: 59428

Idea version: 2017.3
API version: IC-173.3727.127
Plugin version: 0.3.9.nightly-2017-12-04
Gauge version: 0.9.6.nightly-2017-12-13

Steps to replicate

Keep a project open in IntelliJ
create a project on the command line

gauge init java

Open in the newly created project in IntelliJ

Observe the error.

Note: This happens for a newly created non-Gauge project as well.
