Hello,

App worked in the beginning, but not anymore, for 9 out 10 movies i try to search for then it takes less then half a second before the app instantly tells me that no subtitle could be found.

The opensubtitles API and my internet combined is in no way fast enough to search and find / not find in the timeframe it attempts to search, without measuring then I'm guessing it spends less then 200ms before it returns with a "No matches".

Attempted with some of the biggest movie names in the industry and most popular torrents, they all yield the same result. Tho, TV shows have more success then movies.

I tried the first beta of this v2 and was surprised to see several helper elements using cpu. And it was not working. So I came back to the v1! Much simple and fast!

Hi @fjeddy,

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. The first version of Caption is searching (using text) on both addic7ed and opensubtitles.org. It will show results when both sources have been checked. If no results are found in both sources, it will return "No matches".

What movies are you searching for exactly? Are you using text search or file search (drag and drop)?

@fjeddy Are you on a VPN while searching? Had the same issue. Worked again after disconnecting from the VPN.

@vernondegoede I am using drag and drop, as well as tried the text input directly. The problem for me is that it goes to quickly before it tells me nothing could be found. It basically stops searching a less then half a second after I drop the file onto caption, in no way are you able to search the API's in the time spent and I'm just "jumping" to the conclusion that it's not actually searching at all.

@Wagmomma No VPN, that's so the 90's ;)

If I have an active VPN connection (regardless of why I need a VPN), the search does not work.

@vernondegoede please try the VPN approach and probably you will be able to reproduce the issue.
