Describe the issue

A change I made went to the default branch even though the file the change was made in was created in another branch:

(I confirmed those are the same file and not two files with the same name)

How to reproduce

no idea, sorry

Expected behavior

the change should have been attributed to the branch the file was created on - with a lock icon

Thanks a lot for reporting!

I wouldn't be surprised if this was related to #4960. Fingers crossed.
