As you guys know, we are always bringing new users to Gitpod because all of our students are required to start using Gitpod from day one, the majority of them don't know how to code yet and that makes them great for testing the user experience of the site.
Right now, there is a recurrent issue that our students think Gitpod is deleting their Workspaces, when in reality, the workspaces are not deleted but hidden... users need to click on the "filter" option and choose "all" to be able to see the hidden workspaces.
The filter says "active" but I don't know what active means, if I don't have any running workspaces the filter stills filter some of the workspaces, what's the criteria to filter here?
Note: as you can see, the green-halibut workspace was opened one hour ago and it still disappears when I choose "active".
Steps to reproduce
To reproduce just use the filter option on the dashboard.
Expected behavior
I would only hide project that have not been opened in more than 30 days.
All running worspaces should be considered active.
If I am a new user (weeks old), all my projects should be active and visible all the time to avoid confusion (being consistent with my first recommendation).

Thank you for bringing this up. The way workspace list filters work is being discussed in #5279. If you don't mind, I will quote this request in the other issue and close this one. :)
