Search fails with special characters when using "Whole Word" #2618

Version, Operating system
1.0.2 on Windows
1.2.0 AppImage on Linux

Describe the bug
Searching for strings like "C++" or "C#" don't find results if using "Whole Word" option

But this is the standard behaviour, I got the same result with for example https://www.geany.org/
