inline lexer vs lexer

Is there an easy way to add the internal lexer to the standard lexer?

Now it seems that the internal lexer is only used for html output. But when I ask for the lexer information it still gives me the marked lexer.

It would be great if the internal lexer structure would be added somehow to the lexer structure.

Any thoughts? If it is not too difficult I consider implementing it with your guidance of course.
