Failed to call media keys proxy

Issue

Of the media player buttons on my keyboard only Play/pause works. Back/forth works in other media applications. When starting from terminal I get this error message:

(parlatype:2): parlatype-WARNING **: 01:53:00.188: Failed to call media keys proxy: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Object does not exist at path “/org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/MediaKeys”
