Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

When we load non-TIFFs we don't recognise the fact that these are technically three channel: RGB and so don't offer the ability to turn channels on and off in the channel selector tool. Unfortunately, fundus images (a photo of the retina basically) are often transferred as PNG or similar and it is often preferable to show only the green channel.

Describe the solution you'd like

Be able to turn RGB channels on or off for non-TIFF images.

Describe alternatives you've considered

None.
