Inspector lags when editing theme #53802

Windows 11, GLES3

Issue description

theme_editing

Accessing styles from the theme editor seems fine though.

Steps to reproduce

Create a new theme, import all theme elements, try to edit it in the Inspector.

Minimal reproduction project

It should be snappier with #53397, but what you show in the gif is just inspector updating itself for a big resource, and that’s pretty slow in general.

@pycbouh In 3.3 and before, such lag doesn't occur (or too trivial to notice). I wonder what changed since then.

@floppyhammer Here's the same hitching in 3.3.4:

You may be used to using sub-inspectors, which would not cause the entire Inspector dock to rebuild when navigating like that, but they are currently disabled for some resources in 3.4 due to other problems with using sub-inspectors. If you disable sub-inspectors in Editor settings in 3.3 or 3.2, you'll see the same problem with the editor taking a moment to update.
