Tested versions

4.3rc2

System information

Godot v4.3.rc2 - Nobara Linux 40 (GNOME Edition) - Wayland - Vulkan (Mobile) - dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU - 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz (8 Threads)

Issue description

I have a Microsoft Surface Studio laptop with a touchscreen.

Touchscreen works fine in regular Godot.

However, switching the "prefer Wayland" setting on renders the editor completely unresponsive to touch (mouse till works fine).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable "prefer wayland" setting & restart.
  2. Touch the screen and try to get the Godot editor to react

Minimal reproduction project (MRP)

N/A

Thanks for the report! This has been in my TODO list for a while but since I don't have any touch-screen enabled device I haven't had a chance to implement it yet.

I can try a "blind" implementation of touch support and let you test it if you're ok with that. That would be the best approach IMO (outside of getting a big touch screen), otherwise I'd have to emulate touches on my end somehow.

I'm not a developer (just an artist/designer), but I can absolutely test anything you come up with!

Hi, I'd also be happy to help test this feature on my Wayland tablet!
