• ReadMe mentions OFL + MIT license so we may need to clear this up
  A quick grep reveals:

Gidole is dual licensed under OFL (÷RFN) and MIT
license - pick the one you prefer." Must be changed to "Licensed under
the Apache License, Version 2.0

However, a license.txt file exists which is OFL.

• Vertical metrics need fixing (line gaps are enabled atm)
• Name table needs fixing
• Combining marks are missing

Getting the license sorted is going to be the biggest issue. Apart from that, it's a single weight family so it should be easy to fix everything I've pointed out.

Design quality is quite high so it would be a nice family to include.

Can accept under OFL

Uses sfdir source format from Font Forge. Need an approach to work with these files.

Simon has previously used babelfont to turn into Glyphs sources on fly, then compiled.

@chrissimpkins The original repository seems not to be longer maintained, and hence we created our fork. So, This project can be migrated to glyphs and our standard build system, but this would need to be done next Q.
