Update /README.md

I took a pass on https://github.com/TypeNetwork/Amstelvar/blob/master/README.md just now, to fix broken links, add in links to files mentioned, etc.

The timeline section at the end hasn't been updated this year, so it would be good to record some of the milestones there to the present day :)
