Description

instalation log (output of "yay -S ferium-gui-git"):
log.txt

Steps to reproduce

cmd: yay -S ferium-gui-git
fails with exit status 4 after a few minutes

Operating System

Linux

Are you using the latest version of ferium?

  • I am using the latest version of ferium

That's quite the linker error, but I found the issue is ring_core_0_17_8_OPENSSL_ia32cap_P was not found by the linker. I don't know what that is, but after a quick search it seems that 10th gen or later Intel CPUs might have an issue with that value?? Could you let me know what model CPU you are compiling on.

In the meantime you can try using cargo install ferium, but I understand that is less than ideal.

Oh yes one more thing, try the latest tag instead of HEAD. Although I'm not sure how you would do that with just AUR.

this is my fastfetch output, as you can see, I have an amd cpu, so idk why it is compiling for intel
