Package breaks for Mac on Python 3.12 #22

Hey @gostevehoward @WannabeSmith !

The package breaks for a fresh conda install of Python 3.12 on an M1 Macbook, with the error below.

To reproduce the error, do the following.

  1. Execute conda create -n python312 python=3.12
  2. Execute pip install confseq

I want to continue using this package for my confidence sequence needs! :D
