Both could already be included in the user info. Is it really better to have that as separate parameters? May make the single function call C interface very lengthy.

What I actually mean is that maybe we need a better idea what the user info is for. If we follow the suggestion of this issue, we will nowhere use the user info anymore. This might be an indication that it is not very useful right now.
